Welcome to The Sklar Law Firm LLC.

Admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Florida, and the District of Columbia, Adam B. Sklar, Esq. received on-the-job expertise in adoption law from his father, nationally-known adoption attorney Steven I. Sklar.

Adam has not only handled over 300 adoptions, but he has also participated in contested cases referred to him by other attorneys. He believes that these contested cases helped crystallize his knowledge of adoption law.

Adam's clients include married, same-sex male, same-sex female, and single parents. His clients appreciate the fact that they can pick up the phone and reach him every day of the week, including weekends for emergent matters.

Adam is also a participant in the DYFS adoption program assisting DYFS families in the finalization of their adoptions.

In addition to his legal practice, Adam authors articles about adoption, lectures at adoption conferences, seminars and forums, authors a blog at adoptionblogger.com, and is the founder/creator of the adoption advertising website at adoptads.com.

He is married with two daughters.

Steven I. Sklar, Esq. was admitted in New York and New Jersey. Steve began practicing adoption law in the 1970s. Since then, Steve has appeared on the adoption panel for New Jersey's continuing legal education (C.L.E.) seminar, lectured at many adoption conferences, and appeared on radio and television.
